1. Scope

This privacy policy applies to this website, https://buyeizo.com.sg. It regulates the manner in which the Arcadia Group of Companies, including Arcadia Corporation Pty Ltd (ABN 52 075 770 277) (trading as EIZO Oceania) and Arcadia Certified Imaging (trading as EIZO South East Asia) and any associated, related and subsidiary Companies (all of which are referred to as “ARC”), handle the data that affects users of the website.

2. Definitions

‘Personal data’ is information on the personal and factual circumstances of a natural person, that is, for example, the name, address or telephone number of said natural person. Information that cannot be directly connected to a user, such as the number of users of the site in a certain time period, is not personal data. The websites on which ARC provides services with cooperative partners are known collectively as the ‘Buy EIZO website’. The users registered on the website are known as ‘users.’ Personal data that is entered by users when registering for use of the Buy EIZO website is known as ‘registration data.’

3. Policy for Processing Personal Data

ARC has the following policies in regard to handling personal data from the user:

3.1 ARC collects, processes, and uses personal data in accordance with the Data Protection Regulations in Australia.

3.2 ARC uses personal data from users solely to allow for use of the Buy EIZO website, which requires registration by the user, as well as for closing and completing a contract in accordance with the Terms and Conditions from ARC and its cooperative partners, as well as sending invoices in regard to any goods requiring payment. Furthermore, ARC uses the data for sending our e-mail newsletter, if you have subscribed to this, and for sending you a shopping basket reminder, where you have consented to this. ARC and its cooperative partners will not, under any circumstances, make the user’s personal data known to third parties for advertising or marketing reasons, or give said information to third parties for any other reasons, unless doing so is required for ARC to carry out its services.

3.3 An exception to paragraph 3.2 may result from legal provisions, due to which cooperation with law enforcement authorities or other government institutions become necessary, or in the event of a specific suspicion as to the improper use of the Buy EIZO website that violates contractual agreements and/or legal statutes.

3.4 The users can find the personal information ARC has saved on them at any time, and change it.

3.5 In the event that the users have agreed to the processing of their data that goes above and beyond that required for the contract, this agreement can be cancelled by the relevant user at any time.

4. Newsletter service 

The ARC newsletter is tailored for users based in the Oceania and South East Asian regions. While users from other parts of the world may be interested in the content of our newsletter, it is advisable to seek out same from your local EIZO distributor/agent.  

You have the option of subscribing to our newsletter. To do so, you need to enter an e-mail address to which we can send the newsletter. By entering your e-mail address, you consent to us using this data to send the newsletter to keep you informed. Your e-mail address will not be used for any other purpose, and will not be forwarded to third parties.

Subscribing to the newsletter involves a double-opt-in process. After subscribing, you will receive a confirmation e-mail in which you are asked to confirm receipt of the newsletter by clicking on a link contained in the confirmation e-mail. You will only start receiving the newsletter once you have sent your confirmation by clicking on the link.

You have the option of unsubscribing from the newsletter at any time and revoking your consent in the future. To do so, please click on the corresponding link in the newsletter you have received. Your e-mail address will then be immediately deleted from our system.

5. Registration Information

The following data, or even less information, will be collected and processed for registration purposes:

• company;
• form of address and/or title;
• first and last name;
• telephone number;
• e-mail address;
• address.

6. Cookies

‘Session cookies’ are used on the Buy EIZO website, which are assigned to the user for the duration of their visit, so that the system can recognize the user. Session cookies help make the system more user-friendly, and are automatically deleted at the end of the session. A user-related evaluation of the web-surfing habits of users by way of session cookies will not take place.

7. Log Files

Each time a page is opened, access data is saved in a log file – the server log. The data saved in this manner contains the following information:

• the user’s IP address (which could be used to identify their computer);
• the remote host (name and IP address of the computer that requested the page);

ARC will evaluate these log files, if at all, solely for statistical reasons. This serves optimization of the Buy EIZO website, for example, by analyzing the usage behavior in regard to day and time as well as the data volume accessed on the Buy EIZO website. In addition, ARC can identify potential errors using the log files, for example, broken links or programming issues, and therefore uses the log files for improvement and continued development of the Buy EIZO website. As a general rule, ARC does not connect the opened pages and usages in the server log with identifiable persons. However, ARC reserves the right to examine, in retrospect, the log files from those users for which there is a suspicion of use that is illegal and/or contrary to the contract. See paragraph 3.3, which applies in this case.

8. Use of the Facebook Social Sharing (Like Button)

Our website makes use of social plugins (‘plugins’) from the website facebook.com, which is operated by Facebook Inc., 1601 S. California Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA (‘Facebook’). The plugins can be recognized via the Facebook logo (a white ‘f’ on a blue tile, or a ‘thumbs up’ symbol), or will be marked with the text ‘Facebook Social Plugin’. These plugins are usually marked by the logo of the cooperation partner and a written note.

ARC reserves the right to change this Privacy Policy at any time, in the event that changes become necessary in regard to loopholes discovered retroactively, in regard to new functions provided by EARC or due to new legal regulations. ARC will inform its registered users regarding all changes to this Privacy Policy via e-mail, to be sent to the e-mail address provided during the registration process.
